Seafood for Summer in St. Louis

Summer is the perfect time to savor some seafood! At PokeDoke, we have a wide range of seafood options available daily. Indulge yourself this season and savor the flavor of summer with our Hawaiian poke bowls.

Signature Seafood Bowls

When you’re talking about poke bowls, seafood is usually a major component.  Poke is similar to sushi in many ways, but it is served in a bowl, making it more portable and easy to eat.

PokeDoke’s signature poke bowls all feature a mouth-watering combination of fresh ingredients and flavorful sauces and drizzles.

First up is the Shrimptastic Bowl.  As the name suggests, this poke bowl is loaded with shrimp: Both regular and tempura shrimp.  It also features white rice, cucumbers, onions, mango, green onions, purple cabbage, carrots, crabmeat, fried onions, and is topped with a Sweet Thai Chili drizzle.  If you want shrimp in St. Louis, the Shrimptastic Bowl is a fantastic place to start.

Want something more fish-centric instead?  Another great seafood poke bowl to try is the Volcano Bowl.  This bowl is as hot as a July day in STL! It really packs a punch, consisting of white rice, spicy tuna, salmon, crabmeat, cucumbers, onions, pineapple, edamame, green onions, fried onions, a spicy mayo drizzle, wasabi mayo drizzle, and finished off with togarashi. If you like spicy seafood, you’ll LOVE the Volcano Bowl!

Build Your Own Bowls

As great as our signature poke bowls are, you’re not stuck with just a few options. Another popular menu item is our build-your-own poke bowl!  That way, you can put together the seafood creation of your dreams.  Here are a few suggestions for flavor combinations you may want to try the next time you build a poke bowl:

  • Spicy tuna topped with crab meat
  • Combination of salmon and shrimp
  • Ahi tuna topped with seaweed salad

Try This Instead: Butter Garlic Shrimp

In addition to being St. Louis’ original poke restaurant, we also have some of the best Hawaiian BBQ in STL on our menu!  One of these delectable barbecue items is our brand-new Butter Garlic Shrimp.

For a different seafood experience than our poke bowls, Butter Garlic Shrimp is the way to go. It’s full of flavor, cooked to perfection, and served alongside traditional Hawaiian BBQ sides of white rice and macaroni salad.

This summer, seafood is very much on the menu at PokeDoke.  Whether it’s a poke bowl or Hawaiian BBQ you’ve got a hankering for, come on by for incredible summer selections that will leave you wanting more!  PokeDoke is located in the Central West End, Delmar Loop, and Kirkwood, and all 3 locations are open 7 days a week!
